Community Building, Support, & Fundraising
Please reach us at board@medcenterboosters.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We are a 501(c)(3) parent-run nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the BASIS San Antonio Primary Medical Center Campus. Through fundraising, volunteering, and community-building, we work to enhance the school experience for students, teachers, and staff. While we collaborate with the school, we operate independently and ensure that 100% of our funds stay on campus to directly benefit our community.
Joining the BASIS Medical Center Boosters is one of the most impactful ways you can support your child’s education and strengthen our school community. Here’s why it matters:
Any parent or legal guardian of a BASIS Medical Center student is welcome to join the Boosters! Your involvement—big or small—helps strengthen our school community and directly supports our students, teachers, and staff.
Yes. Membership is $25 per family per year. This fee helps fund events, teacher appreciation efforts, classroom resources, and more.
Becoming a Booster member means more than just supporting your child—it’s about becoming part of a vibrant, engaged school community. Here’s what you gain:
Get early access to school news, event sign-ups, and volunteer opportunities.
BASIS Primary School Medical Center is a closed campus—only Booster members can serve as room parents and participate in special volunteer roles throughout the year.
Your membership helps fund classroom resources, appreciation events, and student enrichment.
Build lasting relationships with fellow parents and become part of a supportive community.
Every dollar and every hour you give goes straight to improving the school experience for your child and their peers.
PTAs are part of a national organization with formal structures and dues. Booster Clubs, like ours, are independent nonprofits focused on supporting a specific school.
Because we’re independent, all funds raised stay at BASIS Medical Center—no national dues, no overhead.
Not at all! While we love and appreciate our volunteers, there’s no obligation to attend meetings or events.
Your membership alone makes a difference—and so does every small act of support.
Even buying a Booster t-shirt or attending a family dinner night helps us raise funds and build community. These simple actions go a long way in supporting our students, teachers, and staff.
Due to FERPA and privacy regulations, we are not able to assist with individual student or staff complaints or concerns.
While we are always happy to support and advocate for our staff, we have no role in hiring, firing, or any corrective action plans. Our focus is on supporting the broader school community, and we are glad to advocate as appropriate on issues that impact the overall student body, staff, or school environment.
